Omnibook 6100 running Windows XP SP3, previous to the upgrade the Prism Wireless LAN card has been 
used with "WEP"-driver 1.7.25.
hp Omnibook 6100 support pages lists two drivers, 1.7.25 and 1.7.37. I picked for the upgrade 1.7.25
and everything went fine.
Version 1.7.37 works identical, but to keep the text readable I'll only refer to 1.7.25.

Firmware upgrade conducted by WinUpdate-0-7-0.exe
The program reports current chip information, including current firmware versions, and gives you a 
chance to cancel. If you picked the wrong hex files, it will say "platform mismatches" and you can 
chose the right hex files (no fear, there is no automatic destroy). Click "upgrade". That is it.

Assumption for this final step: both driver 1.7.25 and Prism software 1.7.25 are installed
   
Strongly recommended to keep alive the functionality of hp Omnibooks "Wireless on-off button and 
indicator light":
Don't use setup.exe or any other driver update method to install WPA-Driver "Intersil 3.0.4"; do just 
pick PRISMNDS.sys from the extracted driver package "Intersil 3.0.4", rename it to AEIWLNDS.sys and copy 
it to c:\windows\system32\drivers\AEIWLNDS.sys (overwrite the existing AEIWLNDS.sys).

Enable Windows XP Service "Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC)" (if deactivated)

After reboot "view available wireless networks" and connect to WPA encrypted network.


Control panel/PRISM Settings/Info displays current status:
	Driver:			3.00.04
	Konfigurationsprogramm:	1.07.25
	NIC Firmware:		1.08.02.00
