I run the stack on Microchip microcontroller 18F8720. It is a good stack, but, let's just say that there is no client capability and TCP retransmissions don't exist. Plus, I needed a way to combat the nagle algorithm which takes it's good natured time giving ACK's to my time critical, "need minimum RTT" application. So, I spent the years solving most of the problems. But, that's besides the PRISM firmware flashing story. Flashed a bunch of radios (with the help of this website) I've acquired over the years on a Toshiba 3505 laptop with WinXP Tablet SP1and PCMCIA/CardBus & CF slots. Radios include: NL-2511-CF Mercury (Senao) WL-672 (Z-Com) WCF-12 (Linksys) MA701 (NetGear) MN-520 (uCrap) NL-2511CD+ (Senao) WL-311F (GemTek) MA-401 (NetGear) DT-ZM-100WM-WC (DemarcTech).. actually made in Taiwan.. probably by Z-Com It'd be nice to know where the PRISM firmware is coming from and the issues it fixes. Continued firmware upgrades to allow compatibility with the droves of new a/b/g AP's would be nice. I hope your site continues to thrive because it's my livelyhood.
