I am using 3com Airconnect 3CRWE777A-E1, i download HOSTAP Driver 0.2.0
together with HOSTAP Utilities 0.2.0. My card need firmware s1(i test
flashing one by one the firmware in order to know what firmware id i
need,u can find from firmware 1.5.6 or 1.7.1) which did not stated in the
ur ID table.

pls make sure just uncomment PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT &
PRISM2_NON_VOLATILE_DOWNLOAD in HOSTAP_CONFIG_H like below,pls do no
bother about if,endif etc.

later, i make & make install the hostap-driver then make the
hostap-utilities. i copy s1010506.hex from 1.5.6 file into
hostap-utilities then type ./prism2_srec -v wlan0 s1010506.hex, it stated
ok but when i type ./prism2_srec -v -f wlan0 s1010506.hex it come out with
error said did i enable PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT &
PRISM2_NON_VOLATILE_DOWNLOAD. I resolved it after i restart computer


Finally i get my wireless card upgrade from STA from 0.8.3 to 1.5.6.

Before:

wifi0: NIC: id=0x8002 v1.0.0
wifi0: PRI: id=0x15 v0.3.0
wifi0: STA: id=0x1f v0.8.3

After:
wifi0: NIC: id=0x8002 v1.0.0
wifi0: PRI: id=0x15 v0.3.0
wifi0: STA: id=0x1f v1.5.6
