Hello, I've found your Prism flashing HOWTO extremely useful, so I'm contributing my story, even if it's short and really uninteresting (luckily). My card is Netgear MA401NA (pcmcia_cs cardmgr reports it as MA401RA, but it has MA401NA written on the label on the box) plugged into Vadem-469 ISA-to-PCMCIA adapter. After installing hostap CVS (had to fight for a while with thelatest release package, which wouldn't compile on my fresh 2.6.2 kernel) I read about firmware flashing and checked my card. It was: NICID: id=0x800c v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) PCMCIA (SST parallel flash)) PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.0.7 STAID: id=0x001f v1.3.6 (station firmware) So I read your HOWTO and HostAP mailing list archives for last two months, downloaded latest pk* and sf* firmwares, tested them with prism2_srec -v and flashed. Everything went fine and my card is now: NICID: id=0x800c v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) PCMCIA (SST parallel flash)) PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.1.1 STAID: id=0x001f v1.8.0 (station firmware) Thank you again for the HOWTO -- I wouldn't dare to flash my pretty shiny new card without it. :) Saddie -- |\ /| ,~~~>>";"<< (____/ ) \ Ma?gorzata Lewicka ML12749-RIPE
