I was just able to upgrade the firmware on a D-Link DWL-520 using
version 0.1.2 of the hostap driver and "prism2_srec -v -f wlan0
pk010101.hex sf010704.hex".

Before:

    wlan0: NIC: id=0x8013 v1.0.0
    wlan0: PRI: id=0x15 v1.0.7
    wlan0: STA: id=0x1f v1.3.6

After:

    wlan0: NIC: id=0x8013 v1.0.0
    wlan0: PRI: id=0x15 v1.1.1
    wlan0: STA: id=0x1f v1.7.4

Yesterday I also upgraded the station firmware on a Proxim Harmony
802.11b card, identical to what was described here:

If anyone is interested, I have rpms of the hostap driver for Red
Hat/Fedora that have download support enabled, as well as an rpm for
the utils.
