Before: wlan0: NIC: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 wlan0: PRI: id=0x15 v1.0.7 wlan0: STA: id=0x1f v1.3.6 After: wlan0: NIC: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 wlan0: PRI: id=0x15 v1.1.1 wlan0: STA: id=0x1f v1.7.4 Yesterday I also upgraded the station firmware on a Proxim Harmony 802.11b card, identical to what was described here: http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/stories/Justin_A.txt If anyone is interested, I have rpms of the hostap driver for Red Hat/Fedora that have download support enabled, as well as an rpm for the utils.
